Yogurt and Cucumber dip

Another easy starter too add to your list. What a refreshing summery dip this is, the cucumber is the cooling factor here, a match made in heaven with the mint and dill.
Ingredients
450g plain yogurt
1/2 a cucumber
20g fresh dill
20g fresh mint
1/2 clove garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
For the garnish
1/4 tsp dill
1/4 tsp nigella seeds
a sprinkle of ground rose petal
Method
Step 1
Pour the yogurt into a bowl and add the salt, pepper and crushed garlic.
Give the yogurt a good mix.
Step 2
Finely chop the herbs; dill and mint and add to the yogurt.
Give the yogurt a good mix.
Peel the cucumber and with a grater, grate the cucumber using the larger holes. You can also chop the cucumber into small cubes, both ways can be used in this recipe.
Add the cucumber to the yogurt and give it a final mix.
For the garnish
This is optional but makes your dip look attractive.
Sprinkle over the yogurt as shown in the main picture.
Enjoy this dip either on its own, by the side of your rice or with warm Persian bread or any other flat bread.
